Last weekend Kentucky had a few extra rednecks added to it's population. We spent a long weekend camping at Land Between the Lakes, Kentucky with our friends, Gonzalez's. The temperature was 95+ most of the time, but we had an amazing time. The kids spent their time around the campsite fishing and catching frogs and bugs. We had huge breakfasts every morning and then went off fishing, swimming, and boating. Ross got a bit burned (see pics), but otherwise a great time had by all.
We got to go to the buffalo and elk preserve and drive through and see all the animals running around. We had campfires every night, even in the heat its fun to roast marshmallows.
The kids were so funny, they kept catching all these little tiny baby frogs and putting them in a butterfly basket or right on their nose. On a side note they had the cleanest bathroom and shower rooms I have ever seen at a camp ground. We had the best time, I felt like it just kept getting better and on the last day no one wanted to go home yet. I think that's the best way to end a vacation on a great note!
